Apple’s September event has come and gone, and this year brought the biggest lineup shakeup in years. Here is exactly what was announced, what it means if you are buying in Pakistan, and when things actually arrive, from the team at MacStation, selling Apple in Lahore since 1993.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: official
Apple confirmed the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its “Surprise and Shine” event. Pre-orders open today, with the phones reaching shelves on 18 September. As expected, there is no standard iPhone 18 this year, Apple is holding the base model back for spring 2027 alongside the iPhone 18e and a second generation iPhone Air. If you wanted a “normal” iPhone 18, the wait continues into next year, which keeps the iPhone 17 lineup the smart value pick for months to come.
The real surprise: iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable
Apple also unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, built as two screens joining into one continuous frame. Apple says it becomes the thinnest iPhone ever made once opened, and unlike some rival foldables it carries a full IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Connectivity runs on Apple’s own second generation C2 modem, continuing the shift away from third party modem suppliers. Pre-orders for the Duo begin 16 October, with availability from 23 October, a full month behind the Pro models.
New Apple Watch and AirPods
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are both official and open for pre-order now. AirPods 5 also arrived, in standard and Active Noise Cancellation versions, replacing the AirPods 4 as Apple’s current mainstream pick.
What this means for Pakistan buyers
Apple has not confirmed Pakistan pricing yet. As a reference point, the iPhone 17 Pro Max currently sells at MacStation for Rs 565,000, and PTA taxes plus rupee conditions typically add a meaningful premium on top of Apple’s global launch price once new models land locally. Should you wait or buy now?
If your target is the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max, the global launch date is set, but a local, PTA approved, warrantied unit typically takes longer to arrive at fair pricing than the international date suggests. If you want the Duo specifically, that is a six week wait globally before it even starts shipping. Either way, buy genuine, with a serial number on the invoice and official Apple warranty.
